Pika AI — Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal information

• Google account information: email address, name, and profile picture when you sign in with Google
• Photos: images you upload for AI processing
• Usage data: generation history, credits, and app preferences
• Device information: device type, OS, and app version, for support and compatibility

1.2 Automatically collected information

• IP address and approximate location (for security and regional pricing)
• App usage statistics and crash reports (Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics)
• Advertising identifiers, used by our ad partners (AdMob, Liftoff/Vungle) to serve and measure ads

2. How We Use Your Information

• Generate your AI images and videos and maintain your account/credit balance
• Process in-app purchases and subscriptions through Google Play Billing
• Serve and measure ads through our ad network partners
• Improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new styles/features
• Send service updates, and — only with your notification permission — re-engagement or promotional notifications

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share information only with:

• Service providers that operate the app: Firebase (Google) for auth, database, storage, analytics, and push notifications; fal.ai for AI image/video generation; ad networks (Google AdMob, Liftoff/Vungle) for advertising; Google Play Billing for payments
• Legal requirements, when required by law or to protect our rights and users' safety
• Business transfers, if the app is ever acquired or merged, with notice to users

3.1 Photo processing

Uploaded photos are sent to our AI processing provider (fal.ai) solely to generate your requested image or video, transmitted over encrypted connections, and are not used to train models or reviewed by humans as part of normal operation.

4. Data Security

• Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
• Access to production systems is restricted and authenticated
• We rely on Google Cloud/Firebase's security infrastructure

5. Your Rights and Choices

• Access or export your account data and generation history from within the app
• Delete your account and associated data via Settings → Delete Account, or by contacting us
• Control notification permissions from your device settings

5.1 GDPR / UK GDPR (EEA and UK users)

• Right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data
• Right to restrict or object to processing
• Right to data portability

5.2 California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

You have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.

6. Children's Privacy

Pika AI is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, using providers (Google Cloud/Firebase) that maintain appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Third-Party Services

• Google Sign-In / Firebase — authentication, database, storage, analytics, crash reporting, push notifications
• fal.ai — AI image and video generation
• Google AdMob, Liftoff/Vungle — advertising
• Google Play Billing — subscriptions and credit purchases

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date on this page.
